We left June 4th to go to San Antonio, TX. It was a 13 hours drive. I took Mallory, Allyssa, Kelly and Lora with me. It was alot of fun traveling...talking, goofing off, listening to music. Mallory and Allyssa were able to sleep.
We got there and checked into the hotel and fell alseep.
Thursday the 5th we got up and got ready and headed for Lackland AFB! We had to go and get a pass to get on post. There was an Airmen's run at 9am. We went to a briefing, then outside to wait long the side of the street. It was so packed! Then they started running in formations down the street...it was AWESOME! We got to see John...Mallory was sooooo happy! We had a fun laugh cause he turned around and waved "hi" to us lol! They weren't allowed to do that, but he did anyways lol! Then we had a couple hours free time so we went back to the hotel and rested. We went back and they had a Coin Ceremony. We couldn't tell which one he was cause they all looked alike! We knew about where he was, so we just took lots of pictured in that direction lol! After the Ceremony we were aloud to go down to see him. We got down there and hugged him, chit chatted, looked at the coin, took pics and stuff. That afternoon, evening we were able to spend time with him, but had to stay on post. There was also a no PDA rule lol! That about killed Mallory! She wanted to hold his hand so bad! We went to eat, bowling, BX, and looked at planes. It was fun and interesting. We (my dh and I) also put John on our cell phone plan so we gave him the phone as a graduation gift. All in all it was a great day! OHHH, we were not the only ones to see him...his mom, dad, and younger sister were there too!!!
When we got back to the hotel the girls went swimming and we went to sleep.

John is opening the cell phone we got him...he didn't know what it was and as he was opening it Mallory called it to make it start ringing lol...he was very happy! I was going to wait to give it to him on Fri. but he said he wanted to go get one after we ate, so I gave it to him early lol!
