This past Wed. John (dd, bf) came home from training in San Antonio. It is so different to have him home and him walking in and out of the house and taking my baby to do things lol. I forgot how much I missed him lol! He and I can have this whole convo by looking into each others eyes :-)
He is leaving this Wed. At 8:59am he will be flying out to California to be stationed at Vandenburg AFB. It is a long way away from us. Its gonna be interesting. He has been told that he should be in Iraq by December. That seems so close, and so emotional for me.
Let me explain. I met my dh in Oct. 1989 and we got engaged on our first date. In Feb. 1990 I turned 17. In August 1990 dh left for Saudi Arabia (and so did my daddy). So now I am emotional that this boy who is like a son to me will be going. It stirs so many emotions in me that just make me silly with emotions! My dh and daddy both came home March 1991. In May 1991 I married my dh. May next year we will have been married for 18 years...WOW!
I am very proud of John. I know things have not been easy for him, but he did it. Now he will be continuing to serve our wonderful country. He is like a son to me and I love him dearly.
